I have become reliant on using Waze for navigation, so it was a concern that my Dolphin came without Android Auto & Apple Carplay.
Neither were on the infotainment system.
I made do with the built-in sat nav until the garage appointment to fix it.
It's not a great sat nav, to be honest. It had me going the wrong way on a number of occasions.
Anyway, the garage couldn't fix the issue at first, so they booked it in for a second time with a BYD engineer coming to check it out.
The loan car they gave me for a few days was exactly the same trim and colour as mine. Except Android Auto worked. And using Waze again was great.
Anyway, I collected the car after a few days and now it's 100%. Android Auto is wireless and starts as soon as I power up the car.
There was no explanation why it wasn't installed initially.
Anyway, if you're taking delivery of a new BYD, just make sure that Android Auto & Apple Carplay are on the infotainment system.
