Hydrophobic coating on the lens
Wipe the lens clean, then apply a plastic-safe water-repellent (eg a coating designed for mirrors/camera lenses). It helps droplets bead and roll off. You’ll need to reapply periodically. More info here.
Clip-on rain hood for the Seal
There are Seal-specific stick-on “eyebrow”/rain-covers that overhang the camera and shield it from direct spray. They’re cheap, take minutes to fit, and lots of owners report clearer reversing video in rain. Just make sure the hood doesn’t intrude into the camera’s field of view. Note: Any stuck-on accessory is a modification. BYD’s manuals recommend using approved parts and warn that non-genuine add-ons can affect performance or warranty, so fit sensibly.
Keep a microfibre in the boot
A quick wipe is still the most reliable fallback when it’s really filthy or the spray is constant.
I've used Rain-X before and this was a thought I had, but many backup camera covers are plastic, so use a coating that’s safe for plastics - standard Rain-X for glass doesn’t last well on plastic.
