Here is how to log in on a Seal 05 DM-i in Azerbaijan when the QR code does not appear.
Get the head unit online
Settings -> Network -> Wi-Fi -> connect to your phone’s hotspot or home Wi-Fi.
Open the browser on the car and load any page to confirm internet works.
Check region and language
Settings -> System -> Region. Pick Azerbaijan if available, otherwise Europe or Other.
Restart the head unit after changing region.
Enable the remote control toggle
Settings -> Link -> Remote Control -> turn on. This controls whether the binding QR can appear.
Bind from the phone side by VIN
Install the official BYD app that matches your store region.
In the app: Me -> Vehicle management -> Bind vehicle -> Bind by VIN.
Enter your VIN and complete verification. Use your Azerbaijani mobile number with +994 if the app asks for a phone number. If Azerbaijan is not listed, choose Other and still enter +994.
Try username or phone login on the car
User login -> look for More methods -> Mobile number or Email.
If you see the sheet, log in with your BYD account and OTP.
If you do not see these options, your firmware only supports phone-side binding. Use step 4.
Quick fixes if it still does not work
Soft reset the infotainment and try User login again.
Toggle Remote Control off and back on.
Turn Location services on in Settings -> Privacy.
Confirm the car’s clock and timezone are correct.
Check telematics activation
Ask your BYD dealer to confirm the T-Box is activated and the eSIM is provisioned for your VIN.
Ask them to link your email or mobile to the VIN on their side. Without activation, the car may hide the QR and refuse logins.
Last resort
Unbind in the BYD app, then bind again by VIN.
Factory reset the head unit only if necessary: Settings -> System -> Reset. This erases profiles and settings.
