It’s nearly a month with my BYD Dolphin Comfort, and I have to say - it’s been an amazing experience!
I was initially reluctant to part with the Fiesta I passed my test in, but it makes sense to get an EV since we already have a home charger and EV tariff for my husband’s car.
But when I saw the Dolphin (Comfort) is available for £289 a month on PCP, I decided to go for it.
Everything about this car just fits perfectly for me - It balances affordability, performance, and style:

But when I saw the Dolphin (Comfort) is available for £289 a month on PCP, I decided to go for it.
Everything about this car just fits perfectly for me - It balances affordability, performance, and style:
- Size - Only slightly bigger than a Fiesta, so not too big.
- Range - 265 miles, more than enough for my commute.
- Price - Great value for what it offers! I don’t need the extra bits in the Design trim and I prefer the wheels on the Comfort.
- Design & Quality - Sleek, modern, and well-built. I went for Coral Pink, which is pretty subtle, but also has nice colours inside.
- Efficiency - Smooth drive (way smoother than my Fiesta) and we worked out that it costs less than £10 a month (on Intelligent Octopus Go) for my commutes compared to £80 on petrol.
